Optimization With Overclock

Before going any further overclocking events, you must first understand some of the terms such as the following:
  1. Bus, a term used to express the system data flow components that are used in the motherboard to communicate with the processor.
  2. FSB stands for Front Side Bus, the bus that connects the processor to the main motherboard chipset. Unit used is usually the MHz or GHz.
  3. Clock Speed, is a term used to express the speed of a processor or other components. Figures obtained from the multiplication clock speed multiplier to the FSB.The higher the clock speed, the higher the performance of the resulting kompoen.
  4. Overclocking, is a technique used to improve the performance of processor, memory or graphics card or by increasing the FSB clock speed component.
In order to overclock to run smoothly, doing four preparatory steps as follows:
  • Prepare proper cooling components.
One of the main problems is the excessive heat of overclocking prosesyang generated.Hence the need to be prepared with a good cooling system inside is chasing. Carlian fan or fan and the best heatsnik. Carlian products are a bit expensive but provides maximum results. As an example you can use ALPHA heatsnik PAL6035 combined fan speed Mitsubshi products. Use also a quality thermal paste to help connect the processor to the cooler. Be careful with the preparation of this component because it has a lot of news that the processor burned during the overclocking process for cooling is not working.
  • Prepare Power Supplay high capacity.
Use powersupplay qualified with a minimum of 250 watts capacity.
  • Choose the right Motherboard
Not all types of motherboards can increase the multiplier factor (multiplier) processor.Motherboard features support for overclocking purposes, should at least be able to change the FSB speed and level, processor core voltage. Thorough really kind of motherboard and abilities. If you need to check back to existing specifications in the manual.
  • Motherboard BIOS Update
Instead, use the latest motherboard BIOS. Update your BIOS if needed to maintain stability when overclocking motherboard. Some motherboards, BIOS has a system that can be used to perform pensettingan FSB and voltage levels for overclocking purposes. Some of the others can be done by setting jumpers there. But what if you already bought a motherboard that does not support to overclock? The last possibility is to use softwar overclocking utility such as SoftFSB. Utility is quite useful because it can instantly change the speed of the FSB through the existing interface in Windows.
