Chapter 1 Troubleshooting Monitor Display

Monitor Not Burning 
 
Problems booting the computer, the power button is located on the monitor is pressed but the monitor still does not light, the solution is that the monitor does not turn on, then there are several possibilities that could happen. The first step make sure that you have positioned the monitor power switch in the ON state. 
If the indicator light does not turn on the monitor, refer to both the power plug from the monitor as well as the direction of the electrical outlet. Make sure that you have installed it correctly. If still no light gantikanlah with other plugs, some PCs have captured cord plug types or captive cord, which means permanently attached to the inside of the
monitor. If you are the type who is not biased inspect the power cord on the monitor. 
If the indicator light on the monitor is on and orange or blinking, check the video cable connecting the monitor to the CPU if installed properly. If not, tightly secure one end of the VGA port with bolts, and the other end plugs priksalah others. Check also the VGA plug from the monitor. If any pins are bent you should align with tongs or pliers. Ensure all existing pin into the hole or VGA port. 
If the Checked in on this issue remains unsolved mean there is a problem in the signal CRT video board video adapter. Try replacing the computer VGA Card with VGA cards that are still active, the remedy to ensure that your video card needs to be replaced.

Monitor a Dark When Loading Windows 
 
Problems that occur when booting, at first monitor is on. This is evident from the appearance of the report BIOS can read properly. But after loading the windows of a sudden the monitor went dark.
The solution to these problems is, if the monitor suddenly dark for loading windows is most likely due to monitor driver setup is not right. What often happens is that the display on screes, setting the frequency is too high.
To try to overcome these problems, booting windows in safe mode. The trick, press F8 after the BIOS reports and the Command menu that appears select SAFE MODE. 
Then in safe mode, reinstall the graphics card driver. Then select the appropriate type of monitor that will determine the maximum frequency (refresh rate) which will be displayed by the windows.
