1. Preparing for installation materials
Six things that must exist at the time of installation must be well prepared. These six things are:
- CPU / Processor
- Cooling (heatsink and fan)
- Thermal Adhesives
- User manual motherboard
- CPU documentation
- Socket adapter card
disconnect all external cables to the computer, open and free chasing cables are disturbing as the hard drive cable, CD Rom cable, cable disc drive and so on. You just deal with the motherboard for this. Use adequate desk or work place. Wear sandals when working to anticipate static electricity. If you need to wear gloves of an insulating material. Be careful because sometimes static electricity can damage the processor.
3. Removing the old CPU To remove the old CPU, notice first kind proessornya. Basically there are two types form the slots and CPU socket. For processors with factor slot 1 or slot A, do the following release:
- Disconnect the cable from the motherboard CPU fan header or an external ATX power cable. Remove the slot bracket of the CPU. Be careful to release the locking slot and understood prior to reading the manual guide book.
- Remove the processor slot by pulling up and put into place a neutral and there is no static electric charge.
- Disconnect the cable from the motherboard CPU header fab or external ATX power cable.
- Unlike slots, sockets variations have unit heatsink / fan should separate removed first before removing the CPU. There are two clamps that grip the heatsink on the bottom of the socket to be removed. Press down the main brace to loose.
- Once the heatsink off, raise your arm socket lock in the open position and remove the CPU from the socket with ease
4. Installing a new CPU
For processor-based slots, installation is done by the following steps:
- Install the fan header on the motherboard first.
- Space interface slot 1 / A consists of two gold-plated edges of different sizes. Attach the opposite edge of the CPU slot 1 / A and enter the processor.
- Press the CPU down. Then lock in place with a locking slot.
- Raise arm socket lock in the open position, and insert the pin-pin processor socket. If the position is correct, the processor will be able to enter easily.
- Apply a thermal adhesive on the chip. Use adhesive on the chip that arise, not on the circuit board that surrounds it.
- Attach the socket and CPU heatsink. Take care not to touch the CPU heatsink and thermal mix. In most heatsinks, mounting height should be the same or parallel processor.
- Once the heatsink is installed, attach the clip to the socket as the main cover.
Once the installation is complete CPU, attach the external cables necessary and boot.Consider whether the CPU speed that appears similar to the default rate processor. If not please check back mounting.
